Facepalm

Saw an example last night of the behavior that is destroying this country.

Guy (30-40s) comes into our store, he's ordered a movie. He asks me to hold it for longer than the regular 2 weeks. Seems his unemployment claims are being investigated, and he won't have the cash to buy the movie for a couple of weeks. He'd have the cash now, but he just borrowed $168 dollars from his dad to pay for his cellphone bill (he had a RAZR, I have no idea how in the HELL you rack up $168 on one of those, I used to sell them).

While he's in our store, he orders another $27 movie.

You're in debt, you don't have a job. What do you do? Don't cancel your cellphone, cut your spending and look for a job. No, borrow to pay off your superfluous technology, buy crap you don't need, and bitch about the taxpayers not coughing up your government cheese fast enough.

If you don't have a bad attitude right now, you're not paying attention.
