The reason for the light posting is that to use a metaphor, all the bills came due at once. I've working, looking after recovering-from-surgery rat, writing, and staying out of the way of the counter-fitters, carpenters, and other people necessary to facillitate the installation of our new stove.
Fitting with the general theme of this house, nothing is up to code, requiring much MacGyvering of the installation.
I'm hoping to get back to some Tales From Retail and Random Reflections in the near future though
