Terminator: Salvation

Like Star Trek, a good scifi movie, but not the best Terminator. Honestly, the TV show was better, and I bet they had about 1/9000th the budget.

Christian Bale was awesome as always. Sam Worthington stole the show though, it was his movie, and he was the best part. The symmetry of his part of the movie, while obvious, is still striking.

I wish it had carried a little more emotional heft, and a few less whizz-bang over-the-top action sequences. Maybe I'm spoiled by the show - they put their whole heart and soul into creating an action sequence and filled the rest of the time with good acting and powerful emotion to compensate for the lack of budget. This movie, while good, just seemed like lazy film-making.
