Mike Schmid - Forget You

In case you were wondering what that haunting song played at the end of A Stone Of The Heart was, it's called Forget You by Mike Schmid, and you can listen to it here:

Here are the lyrics:

I thought I'd never see you again
But I also thought that I was wrong
If time's my enemy
I don't know who's my friend
All I know
Is every day's so long

But I'm doing fine without you
I live my life
The best I know to live it
I never even think about you
It's hard enough
To just get through this minute
Without telling the truth
That I never do
Forget You

The toughest part is all of the little things
Like sleeping, eating, driving my car
And fighting back the tears
And keeping my mind from wandering
To wondering where you are

But I'm doing fine without you
I live my life
The best I know to live it
I never even think about you
It's hard enough
To just get through this minute
Without telling the truth
That I never do

You can't ruin my life
You don't have that much power over me
I just need some time to see
That everything will be alright
Alright

But I'm doing fine without you
I live my life
The best I know to live it
I never even think about you
It's hard enough
To just get through this minute
Without telling the truth
That I never do
Forget You

The song was pefect for, and just like the show. Hauntingly beautiful, tragic, truthful, with a strange kind of gentle brutality. I love this song. It brings back tons of memories.
