Conversational Profanity
Maybe I'm the odd one out here, a little too old fashioned for today's world, but has anybody ever noticed how profane we're becoming as a society. We can't communicate without expletives, the more vulgar the more common. Why is this? Sure, I swear occasionally, to myself, if I'm frustrated or something bad happens...but I take a small amount of pride in never saying anything I would later be embarrassed about around anyone. But conversational profanity is becoming the norm these days. Weird. Even weirder is that the women/girls have foul mouths these days too. Not that I'm some kind of Puritan, but I expect them to have slightly better behavior.
Socializing
Went out bowling with my recently-returned and too-shortly-to-be-gone friend, his wife, and his sister. First time bowling, ever, and I bowled a 132, coming in third, beating his sister's 123. Like I told him, I wish I could shoot that straight.
Despite the heck it raises at home, I will never regret hanging out with you guys. Let's do this again some time, maybe next time on my dime.
Editing
Someday real soon I'm going to figure out a privacy-oriented way of spreading this blog around to some of my online friends, and I've got to announce a reversal of policy here. I won't edit offensive posts, I recently learned I can't. Instead, anything I deem offensive will be deleted, and I'll make an attempt to post an edited version, giving proper credit.
