Two items of disturbing news today.
1.Three small backpack bombs have been found around the country. Aside from the fact this means there could be mini acts of terrorism, if it keeps up, I have no doubt we'll be seeing far more monitoring of transportation and public places.
2.This one is disturbing to the point where I want to blow a paycheck on ammunition and rifle magazines. Bush announced his intention today to use the military to quarantine parts of the country should there be an outbreak of bird-flu. He hastily added that he doesn't expect to have to do this. Oh joy. Like NO didn't teach us about letting armed government forces control cities.
