Shooty Goodness

Well, my mom (who's been to the range approximately 2 times) said we'd go at least once this summer, before I go back to college. Given that I go back on Monday, and work a bit in between, yesterday was the last day to go.

We loaded up the Walther .22, the CZ452, CX4, and Beretta 92, and then me, she, and my brother all rode out to the range.

Woulda been a little nicer if the people one lane over hadn't been so interested in running more lead through their XD45 than went through the last 9 John Woo movies. Mom doesn't like loud bangs, especially from 5 feet away.

But, she blew the center out of the target at 25 yards with the CZ. Moved on up to the Walther, and did passable with that. Took 2 shots with the CX4, and hit a bullseye with one shot, but didn't like that. One shot with the 92, and it was time to go.

I didn't have the advantage of someone coaching me to shoot with various .22s. I went from nothing, not even airsoft to a .40S&W carry pistol, and from there to an Honest-To-God battlerifle. It didn't take me long to become accustomed to the use of a gun, but I guess it takes other people longer. Oh well. She did quite good.
