My rail system arrived yesterday, and I decided to break down my rifle (Carolynn The *edited* McCarthy) and fit the rails to their various connecting parts.
No dice. One tube is slightly out of spec, and too wide/long. Given that I own multiple copies of this rifle platform, I tried out a tube from Nancy Pelosi, my brother's rifle. It fits, so I'll use it. Only problem being, the tube I have to swap in to make Nancy Pelosi work is too long, and will require filing to work. After trying various combinations of parts, I put Nancy Pelosi's collapsible stock on Mrs. McCarthy, and will be going with Pelosi as my base rifle for the build.
An ACE sidefolder is in the care of Post Office, pending delivery to your truly. Next up is a beautiful adjustable pistolgrip, and a frontgrip. Then maybe some rings for a flashlight, and a quick-detach sling.
