The only race I'm really passionate about this year is Mark Green vs. Jim Doyle for WI governer. I hope Green wins and Doyle loses. I hope Doyle has a very painful run in with crime, regardless, since he is ultimately responsible for disarming everyone in this state outside their home. Note, for anyone official who finds their way here:I WILL NOT be the cause of any crime directed at our evil governer. I would simply do a Snoopy-style happy-dance.
I hope John Gard wins and Steve Kagen loses, simply because Gard is a Republican and Kagen is a Democrat. They're both *a swearword first introduced to me by my aunt, years ago, one that starts with "a" and rhymes with "brass poles"* but at least Gard's party isn't actively opposed to the Second Amendment.
I'm voting strictly on who gives me the most time to prepare for war (want peace?). The Democrats will go off the cliff at 90mph. The Republicans will take a little less time to get there, only travelling at a leisurely 60mph, but they'll still go over eventually.
Meanwhile, Herb "The Fa****" Kohl is running pretty much uncontested for Senator. I don't call him that because I disrespect gay people - their life choices are none of my dang business, and I simply don't care. I call him that for the same reason I call John Kerry "Hanoi John." Can't figure out a better nickname for someone I have less than no respect for.
Bush wasted all his "credit" on the occupation of Iraq (and no, we should not be there) instead of actually making the American people even freer at home, and has screwed things up bad enough that the whole country is polarized against the Republican party. This year they ain't gonna be voting based on issues, they'll be voting based on who's NOT a Republican. I hope I'm wrong.
No matter who wins, it's gonna be an ugly 2 years until the Presidential election. Then, there's a good chance it'll get even uglier. Ugly on a scale like we have not yet seen ugly.
